Diablo 3 was confirmed for the Nintendo Switch last week and while the Switch might not pack the same powerful hardware as the PS4 Pro or Xbox One, Blizzard said that the game would run at 60fps across the board. This meant that gamers can expect 60fps whether the console is docked or undocked.

For those curious about how the game looks like on the Switch, the folks at GameSpot have uploaded a video showing off gameplay on the Switch console. This gives us a good look at how the interface will look like, and at the same time it also shows how silky smooth the gameplay is at 60fps.

Note that the game will run at different resolutions depending on whether the console is docked or undocked. When docked it will run at 960p, while undocked it will run at 720p. This isn’t the Full HD resolution gamers might have been hoping for, especially if you plan to play the game on a 4K TV in which the differences might be more obvious, but Diablo 3 is fun enough where the gameplay will probably outshine the resolution.

Diablo 3 for the Switch is expected to launch this fall, but no specific dates have been mentioned. It will also come bundled with the Reaper of Souls expansion, Rise of the Necromancer DLC, and also some exclusive goodies for Switch gamers. There is no support for cross-platform play, but that is an area that Blizzard is interested in exploring.
