With the arrival of Forza Horizon 4 just around the corner, Turn 10 and Microsoft have decided to award “end of life” status to the much appreciated Forza Horizon 2. It has been confirmed by the publisher that this title is going to be removed from the Xbox Store on September 30th. Those who don’t already have a copy by then will be unable to get the title.

The end of life status for Forza Horizon 2 won’t affect those who already have a copy of the game. They will be able to play like they always have. Those who don’t get it by September 30th will have to pay for one of the later titles in this franchise for their Forza Horizon fix.

It has been confirmed that the game and all of its associated DLC content will not be available for purchase after September 30th. Those who own the game will still be able to download and play its associated contents as normal after September 30th.

Forza Horizon 2 is available currently as part of the Games with Gold for August 2018 as well. Xbox Live Gold subscribers can get the title for free as part of their subscription which entitles them to a handful of free titles every month.
