No one knows when Apple’s 2018 iPhones are expected to be announced, although last we heard a launch in the second week of September is possible. There is also the question of when they will be made available, which at the moment is really anyone’s guess. However regardless of the dates, luxury retailer Goldgenie has already started taking pre-orders for the phones.

For those unfamiliar, Goldgenie is a company that specializes in creating luxurious versions of existing products. With the 2018 iPhones, it seems that the company is banking on the rumors that there will be a 5.8-inch and 6.5-inch model, and will be taking pre-orders for either model where they will be coated in 24k gold.

As expected given that they will be gold-plated, they won’t come cheap. The 5.8-inch model will retail for £1548.50, while the larger 6.5-inch model is priced at £1698.50. It should be pointed out that while those are already very hefty price tags, these are actually discounted by 50% because when they do become available, they will be priced at £3097 and £3397 respectively.

The price you’ll be paying is also not just for the gold, but also the additional perks, such as a cherry oak finished box, along with a 24/7/365 days concierge service for five years.
