Apple’s latest iPhone Xs Max is not cheap and is an iPhone that finally breaks the $1,000 barrier as far as base models are concerned. This means that if you thought that losing your $800 iPhone was painful before, it is going to be even more painful as it essentially means you’d be flushing $1,099 down the toilet.

Now there are insurance plans for smartphones that do cover loss, but if you wanted a complete bundle that also includes damage coverage, Apple might have the solution for you. The company has recently debuted a new AppleCare+ plan that will cover both theft and loss (via MacRumors).

Now it won’t be a completely free replacement in the event your iPhone is lost or stolen. Customers will still need to pay a deductible, but at $269 for the iPhone XS, iPhone XS Max, and iPhone X, it is a good sight cheaper than having to buy a brand new phone. The deductible for the iPhone XR, iPhone 8 Plus, iPhone 7 Plus, iPhone 6S Plus, and iPhone 6 Plus will be at $229, and $199 for iPhone 8, iPhone 7, iPhone 6S, and iPhone 6.

The pricing for the AppleCare+ plan with theft and loss protection will vary depending on the phone you’re choosing. Apple’s top of the line models, the iPhone Xs and Xs Max will be priced at $299, while iPhone XR coverage will go for $249.
