Google has teamed up with uBreakiFix to offer free repairs to Pixel device owners who have been affected by Hurricane Florence. Google has teamed up with the repair service to provide free repairs for any Pixel smartphone that was damaged in the storm provided that the device owner can visit one of the repair company’s service centers.
Pixel device owners who had their units damaged by the storm will be able to get them fixed for free as long as they visit one of uBreakiFix’s service centers in North Carolina, South Carolina or Virginia. They will be able to get free replacements for cracked displays and water damage.
In addition to the repair job being carried out on their Pixel devices free of charge, the device owners will not have to take an appointment as well. They will be entertained if they just walk into one of uBreakiFix’s locations mentioned above.
There is a time limit for this free repair campaign, though. Pixel owners who need a repair have to visit one of the locations by October 19th. Sure, this promotion does get some good press for Google but it will certainly help those who have felt a financial hit from the storm.
