Amazon Echo Show will now be able to do more than just being a visual interface for Alexa, the company’s digital personal assistant. Users will be able to make use of the device as a little TV. Hulu has announced that it’s now the first live TV streaming service to enable Echo Show owners to stream live TV on their devices.

Hulu says that it’s the first live streaming TV service to debut on Amazon’s new Echo Show. When the device becomes available for purchase next month, Hulu subscribers will be able to view all of their favorite content on the Echo Show, be it live or on-demand.

The content will be accessible through voice commands powered by Alexa. Hulu also launched a voice enabled app for the Fire TV in November last year. It says that Hulu viewers who use Alexa watch double the hours of content compared to viewers who use remotes, clicks, and taps to access the content they want to watch.

The new Echo Show’s 10 inch HD display will soon be able to stream live video content from Hulu hands-free with Alexa. Given its size, it can essentially double as an affordable 10 inch tablet and there are plenty of those already which are fully capable of streaming live TV from the likes of Hulu.
