T-Mobile’s prepaid brand, MetroPCS, is getting a makeover today almost five years after its merger with Magenta. It will henceforth be called Metro by T-Mobile. Some new plans have been announced by the carrier as well which include two options with unlimited talk, text, and LTE data in addition to Amazon and Google services.

The base plan is going to cost $30 per month and it offers 2GB of LTE data with unlimited talk and text. The $40 per month plan offers 10GB of LTE data per month. The new $50 plan offers unlimited LTE data, 5GB mobile hotspot and access to Google One. The $60 plan includes all this and access to Amazon Prime.

T-Mobile is also looking to bring in more customers for its prepaid brand after this refresh. The carrier has said that the prepaid brand will soon offer “a wide variety of Android and iOS smartphones” for all price points and that the device lineup will include new releases as well.

The prepaid carrier relies on T-mobile’s network that provides LTE coverage across the United States. Users on the unlimited plans may experience their speeds being throttled after they have used more than 35GB in a month when they’re in an area that has network congestion. The video streams will be limited to 480p resolution.
