As much as many iPhone users are probably looking forward to seeing the launch of Apple’s AirPower wireless charging mat, last we heard it might be a while until we see it, if at all. However if you are looking for wireless chargers, then you might be interested to learn that Nomad might have something for you.

The company has recently taken the wraps off its new Base Station. This shouldn’t be confused with the company’s previous Base Station which was basically a dock that could charge both the Apple Watch and the iPhone at the same time (using a wired connection). Instead this new Base Station is a wireless charging pad that has been very beautifully designed.

According to Nomad, “Base Station integrates a sleek, modern design with a highly functional charging hub. With 3 high-power charging coils, Base Station can charge 1 or 2 phones wirelessly. There are also two out ports: one USB-A and one USB-C PD with an 18 W output capacity.”

According to Nomad, it will support charging of up to four devices at once, although the space on the Base Station will only allow about two phones, and the other two devices can be charged using wired USB-A or USB-C connections. There are also built-in LED indicators that can automatically dim at night. That being said, the Nomad Base Station does not come cheap at $100, but for those who don’t mind paying those prices, you’ll be able to pre-order it via Nomad’s website.
