While the behind Alexa is that users get to interact with devices supported by it using their voice, sometimes using the smartphone app can be useful or necessary. If you do use the mobile app from time to time, then you might be interested to learn that Amazon has recently given its Alexa app a makeover.

Some of the more obvious changes come in the form of a new interface that also uses brand new colors. Some of the other changes try to improve on how users control smart devices that are connected to the network, such as the devices tab where users will be able to control individual lights, power outlets, and more, from a single screen, versus before where they were grouped by room.

For those who prefer grouping by room, the ability to control your smart devices grouped by room is still present, but the update to the app’s design now allows a bit more flexibility when controlling it. Other than that, like we said, the more obvious changes come in the form of an updated color design The update should already be live and available so users can go ahead and download the latest app from the iOS App Store or Google Play if you’re an Android user.
