We’re not sure if there are plans to eventually bring that color option to the US and other markets, but for now the pink Surface Laptop 2 is exclusive to China as confirmed by Microsoft’s Chief Product Officer Panos Panay. That being said the only difference is the color and the internals and features of the laptop will remain the same as the “normal” version.
For those who missed the announcement early October, the Surface Laptop 2 is the second-gen Surface Laptop put out by Microsoft. It will be powered by Intel’s 8th-generation processors and will support as much as 16GB of RAM. Microsoft is boasting that the laptop will be 85% faster than its predecessor and will also feature an impressive battery life of 14.5 hours.
Interestingly enough in this day and age, Microsoft has opted not to furnish the laptop with any USB-C ports. This is a good thing as it means that users won’t need to deal with dongles and adapters, but not good for those who are hoping to future proof their purchases.
Excited to be in Beijing today to share our newest products in China. Especially Surface Laptop 2 in Blush. A finish developed exclusively for China by Quan, an incredibly talented designer on our team, who also happens to be featured in this photo #SurfaceLaptop2 #Blush pic.twitter.com/siCXNwKYpU
