While initially positioned as a platform for users to share their photos, Instagram has never really shied away from the possibility of it being used as a platform for shopping as well. Over the years the company has introduced ways for users to shop on its platform, and now it looks like they have improved upon it further.

According to Instagram, these improvements come in the form of three new features. One of those features is a collections feature that lets you save links to products. These links will be stored in a dedicated “shopping” section of the app so that you can easily refer to it whenever you want.

There will also be shoppable product tags for video posts, meaning that companies can now link to specific products that appear in videos. If this sounds familiar, it is because back in September Instagram introduced a similar feature for photos, and now it looks like it will be available for videos as well.

Last but not least, Instagram has also revealed that they’ll be testing a redesign of the Shop tab for business profiles. This new redesign will allow users to quickly view all products that are featured in the business’s shopping posts. Some of these features should already be live by now, so do keep an eye out for it.
