Nintendo hit its fans with a heavy dose of nostalgia in 2016 with the NES Classic mini console. It followed that up with the SNES Classic in 2017. Supplies have almost always remained tight, more so during the holiday season, and if you’ve been thinking about picking one you might want to get your hands on one soon before supplies run out. That’s because Nintendo has said that once they do run out, these mini consoles won’t be restocked.

Nintendo of America President Reggie Fils-Aime provided this confirmation in an interview with THR. This is the first year that both the NES Classic and SNES Classic are available in the same holiday season.

There are countless stories about how hard it can often be to find either of these two consoles. Supplies have remained tight and they run out fairly quickly. Nintendo has at times released more stock in the market but availability hasn’t been as flush as some would have liked.

It now seems that Nintendo is going to stop pumping more stock into the market altogether. “We’ve also been clear that, at least from an Americas perspective, these products are going to be available through the holiday season and once they sell out, they’re gone. And that’s it,” Fils-Aime said.

He also mentioned that Nintendo doesn’t have any plans right now to release more Classic Mini consoles. If fans want to continue playing its classic games, they will have to use the classic games program of Nintendo Switch Online.
