We reckon that Blizzard has actually done a pretty good job of keeping Overwatch update in terms of content. They have introduced a bunch of new heroes, new maps, and also kept players entertained with seasonal events that are held throughout the year, such as the recent Winter Wonderland event which has just kicked off.

However it seems that Overwatch’s developers have been more quiet than regular as of late, leading to players to wonder what’s going on. In response to the questions, the game’s director Jeff Kaplan has posted on the Overwatch forums an update as to what is going on behind the scenes, which revealed that the company is actually developing a new game mode for the game.

According to Kaplan, basically the team is working on a bunch of top secret stuff that he isn’t allowed to talk about. However what he can reveal is that they are also prototyping new heroes and also new game modes, which apparently we shouldn’t expect to see anytime soon. However at the same time we suppose this is good news all the same for gamers who might be getting a little bored of what’s already available.

It wasn’t too long ago during BlizzCon 2018 that Blizzard introduced Ashe as the latest hero to the game. The character’s reveal trailer also showed off an additional hero that has yet to be officially added to the game, but we expect that is one of the things Blizzard is currently working on.
