The JBL Link Bar was originally unveiled at Google I/O in May last year. This Android-powered soundbar is unique in that it comes with Google Assistant. It hasn’t come out as yet and those who have been waiting for it will be delighted to know that the company has confirmed when they will be able to purchase this device. The JBL Link Bar will go on sale in spring this year.

The Link Bar is more than your humble soundbar. It can double as an Android TV complete with Google Assistant. So it’s basically an all-in-one system that not only improves the sound from the TV but also adds smart features.

Many would have been looking forward to purchasing this device not long after it was announced last year. However, JBL didn’t follow up with the release date. It was later reported that the device had been delayed and that it may only be released in 2019.

That’s precisely what has happened. JBL has now confirmed that it will be releasing the Link Bar in the spring of this year. No concrete release date as yet, though, but that may arrive in the coming months. The device will cost $399.95 when it goes on sale.
