While companies such as Samsung are finding alternatives to the notch design in smartphones, OPPO found a solution of their own in the popup camera with the OPPO Find X that was launched last year. It seems that the company loves the idea and could be sticking with it, thanks to a tweet by Ishan Agarwal (via XDA Developers).

In this tweet, Agarwal shares several photos sent to him by a source that allegedly depicts a yet-to-be-announced OPPO smartphone with a popup camera feature. As expected based on the Find X, this handset will also feature an edge-to-edge display that has no notch or holes in its display, and will use a popup camera for its front-facing camera.

It is unclear which OPPO phone this could be, but some are speculating that based on its design it could be either the R19 or the F11. What’s interesting is how small the popup camera is compared to the Find X. This might be a good or bad thing depending on how you look at it. A smaller camera means a lighter phone, but at the same time we are a bit concerned at how potentially fragile it could be.

Take this leak with a grain of salt for now, but Agarwal has built himself a reputation for having pretty good quality and reliable leaks, so perhaps come MWC 2019, we might learn more about this device.
