One of the features of Pokemon Go is that it encourages players to walk. By walking, players will be able to reach new locations where there are raids occurring and where they might find new Pokemon. Walking also helps to hatch eggs where players need to walk certain distances in order to hatch them.

However, it seems that The Pokemon Company has decided that maybe players need just as much rest as they do exercise, and have since announced a new game called Pokemon Sleep. We know, it sounds a little silly, but the idea behind the game is to give players something to look forward to when they wake up in the morning.

The company has also teamed up with Nintendo to create a new accessory called Pokemon GO Plus + which acts as a regular Pokemon GO Plus during the day, and at night it can also double as a sleeping tracker (we’re not sure if you need this accessory for it to work, or if an accompanying mobile app can pull data from fitness trackers as well).

It sounds quite interesting and a bit novel, but hey, given the success of Pokemon Go, it’s not surprising that we’re seeing more ways to expand on Pokemon games. Unfortunately, Pokemon Sleep is only planned for a release in 2020, so gamers will have to wait to check it out.
