From time to time during filming, there are little gaffes and mistakes that are made that somehow manage to escape everyone’s attention until the show or film has been released. It seems that HBO’s Game of Thrones is no exception to this because according to eagle-eyed viewers, it seems that someone left a Starbucks cup on a table in a scene in the latest episode of the series.

For those who have seen the latest episode and want to go back to check for the gaffe, it is in the scene at the early part of the episode where the heroes of Winterfell are celebrating their victory in the feast hall, and if you look close enough, you’ll discover a Starbucks cup placed right in front of Daenerys Targaryen.

According to Bernie Caufield who is the show’s executive producer, she has acknowledged the mistake, although she doesn’t seem to be too upset about it. Speaking on WNYC’s “All of It”, “But I guess maybe it was there, I’m not sure,” she said. “But, yeah. We’re sorry! Westeros was the first place to actually, you know, have Starbucks, and it’s a little known fact, and yeah, you know…I guess if that’s the worst thing they’re finding then we’re in good shape.”

The official Starbucks account has also since chimed in with a quip of their own. It is unclear if HBO plans on going back to the editing room and digitally removing the cup or if they will leave it as it is, so do keep an eye out for it if you haven’t seen the episode yet.
