While emojis are a good way to spice up conversations, the downside is that they are static, which can sometimes be boring. This is where GIFs come in handy where thanks to their animations, it can make conversations more fun and humorous, and now Google is looking to make it easier for users to share GIFs via Google Images.

In the past, to share a GIF on Google Images you would have to either download the GIF file and send it, or you would need to share the URL to the GIF, although that is hardly preferred since the other person would need to click it to open, and that’s what Google is changing by making sharing easier.

According to Google, “To make it easier to say “surprised,” “good morning” or “buenas noches” with the perfect GIF, Google Images now has a “Share GIFs” section that lets you share GIFs directly into different apps, including Gmail, Hangouts, Android Messages and Whatsapp.” Google notes that these GIFs are powered by their GIF search engine and are based on how likely they are to be shared, so chances are you should be able to find something relevant during your search.

At the moment, the sharing feature is only available via the Google app on both iOS and Android, but Google notes that they do plan to bring it to more platforms, including mobile browsers, in the near future.
