HTC is no longer one of the big players in the smartphone industry these days, but that does not mean that the company has no plans to launch future devices. In a post made on the HTC Taiwan Facebook page, the company has shared a teaser image which seems to hint at a smartphone announcement set for the 11th of June, 2019, which is this coming Tuesday.

At the moment, it is unclear as to what kind of handset the company plans on launching. While HTC has yet to debut a flagship smartphone for 2019, it has been speculated that the device in question could actually be more of a mid-ranger where it will be a handset known as the HTC U19e.

Based on the benchmarks and leaks, the phone in question is said to be packing a Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 chipset along with 6GB of RAM, but other than that, not much else is known. At the moment, there are already plenty of mid-range smartphones in the market, and with the recently launched Pixel 3a, HTC will have some competition.

For those who’d prefer a higher-end handset, last we heard, HTC could actually have a 5G smartphone that they plan on launching in the second half of the year. The company has also confirmed that they are working on a second blockchain smartphone.
