Domino’s Pizza Delivery Will Soon Be Trackable With GPS

Domino’s has a habit of leveraging technology to improve its service for customers. This is why the company has worked on everything from pizza delivery robots to self-driving cars and cashless stores. Domino’s is now launching GPS tracking for deliveries so that customers can see precisely where their pizza is. It’s like keeping an eye on your Uber, only, in this case, it’s going to be your dinner.

The company said that it will bring GPS tracking for delivery orders at all of its U.S. stores by the end of this year. This has actually been possible for overseas customers for quite some time now and will finally be available to customers in the United States.

This will enable customers to keep an eye on their pizza as it leaves the restaurant and they’ll be able to see just when the delivery person will reach their doorstep. This will certainly make the entire experience better.

While this will be very useful for customers, Domino’s CEO Ritch Allison also pointed out that he’s “more excited” about the data that franchise operators will be able to get from GPS tracking as this will allow them to make the delivery process at their restaurants more efficient.
