The majority of credit cards are made from plastic, but there are some credit cards, usually reserved for those with higher annual incomes, are made from metal. However, with the launch of the Apple Card which is made from titanium and aluminum, Apple has finally brought a metal card to the masses.

This might have created a problem highlighted in the video above, where a YouTuber has managed to sharpen one edge of the Apple Card to the point where it is sharp enough to be used as a knife. This can be dangerous as it means that it can be hidden in a wallet and used as a weapon.

Also, the fact that the Apple Card is relatively easy to get and can be applied for by anyone, like we said, this could have created a problem. That being said, this isn’t the first time we’ve seen a credit card being used as a knife. Previously, there have been some videos where other metal credit cards have been filed down to sport a sharp edge, so this isn’t a new thing.

As The Verge points out, there are plenty of credit card-sized knives already available in the market, so you don’t need to sand down your brand new Apple Card to do so. It is still a pretty cool, albeit dangerous, DIY project. If you have a few minutes to spare you can check it out in the video above.
