Last week, Nintendo teased a new gaming accessory for the Nintendo Switch. The accessory in question looked like some kind of fitness-related accessory where users could squeeze it and attach Joy-Con controllers to it. Now it looks like the accessory has since been made official where it is known as the Ring Fit Adventure.

The gadget comes in two parts, one of which is the Ring-Con and the other is the Leg Strap. This can be used to interact with games, like for example with the Leg Strap, Nintendo has suggested that users can wear it on their leg and run in place to move their characters in a game.

They can also squeeze the Ring-Con to control their attacks in the game. The idea is that by using these on a daily basis, Nintendo believes it will give gamers a good workout and also work various parts of their bodies at the same time.

According to Nick Chavez, Nintendo of America’s Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing, “Nintendo is always looking for ways to surprise people with one-of-a-kind, fresh experiences. Ring Fit Adventure combines gaming and physical activity in a way that incentivizes people to keep coming back for more, to further both the story and their own fitness goals.”

It looks rather novel but if you’re interested in getting your hands on it, the Ring Fit Adventure will be available on the 18th of October where it will be priced at $80.
