While Apple’s products in general aren’t known to be cheap, the company does put out some products every now and then that are actually quite value for money. The MacBook Air is one of those examples, where it might be more expensive than a lot of Windows laptops out there, the price-to-performance ratio is one that’s hard to argue against.

More so when you consider the fact that the new M1 chipset is proving to be incredibly powerful, putting it almost on par with the Pro models. That being said, if $1,000 is still a price point that’s too dear for you, then you might want to hold off on your purchase until 2022. This is because analyst Ming-Chi Kuo claims that come 2022, Apple could launch an even more affordable version of the MacBook Air.

To top it off, this model is also rumored to come with the use of a mini LED display, a nice change of pace from the LCDs that Apple has been using all these years. We’re not sure by affordable how much these new machines could cost, but right now, the base MacBook Air is priced at $1,000, so anything less than that would be welcome and could help drive adoption of Apple’s Mac computers in general and also its new M1 chipset.
