Apple Could Announce Their Apple Car Partner In The Next Few Months

Just the other day, Hyundai confirmed that their talks with Apple about partnering up for the rumored Apple Car have ended. While we have heard whispers and rumors about this project, Hyundai’s confirmation that they were in talks with Apple was as close as we got to an official confirmation that the project even existed.

This now begs the question of who’s next? If not Hyundai, who will be Apple’s new partner? According to analysts at Wedbush investment bank, they seem to be pretty confident that Apple could announce a new partnership within the first half of 2021, which means that the announcement could be coming in the next few months, maybe even at WWDC 2021.

According to Wedbush analyst Daniel Ives, “While the timing of an EV partnership with the likes of Hyundai, or another automaker, remains a key focus of the Street and EV industry over the coming months we assign a 85%+ chance that Apple will announce an EV partnership/collaboration over the next 3 to 6 months.”

As per the previous report, it was suggested that Apple was talking to more than just one company, which we guess is to be expected. The report stated that Apple was in talks with at least six other Japanese carmakers, although it is unclear at this point in time how far along those talks are.
