The other day, Microsoft announced Windows 365. This is Microsoft’s streamable version of Windows which would allow users to access Windows pretty much anywhere on any device. However, Microsoft said that in terms of pricing, more details will be revealed on the 2nd of August when the service launches.

However, they did let one detail slip and apparently Windows 365 will be priced at $31 per user per month. This subscription will include two CPUs, 4GB of RAM, and 128GB of storage. We’re not sure how accurate this pricing is or if there will be different tiers, but it should give you an idea of how much you should expect to pay.

At $31 a month, we wouldn’t exactly call it cheap, especially since in the long-run it might end up costing more than just buying a cheap laptop. However, Windows 365 will let you stream Windows on multiple devices which is ideal for those working from home and need to access a secure PC.

Presumably that’s one of the conveniences that you will be paying for, kind of like with video streaming where you could buy movies at one-off prices, but the fact that you can stream it on demand almost anywhere is one of the conveniences that makes it worth the price.
