Are you thinking about quitting Facebook? Given the numerous privacy related scandals the company has been embroiled in, some of its users might be deciding that maybe it’s time to call it quits. However, with the amount of data we’ve uploaded to Facebook like photos and videos and contacts and more, it might not be as easy for some to let go.

If you find yourself in that situation, then you might be interested to learn that Facebook has announced that they have expanded on their Transfer Your Information tool where it will now make it easier for users to make a copy of their data and export it from Facebook, whether it be to their own computers or to another service.

According to Facebook, “These updates include user experience improvements, two new destinations: Photobucket and Google Calendar, and one new data type: Facebook Events. We’re excited about these new changes because they provide people with even more choice and control, while also fostering innovation with our partners.”

Facebook had previously already allowed users to export their data, delete their Facebook history, and also get rid of old embarrassing posts in bulk, so for those who are considering leaving the social network, then this could be a tool worth checking out.
