Samsung is returning to in-person launch events with the Feb 1st 2023 upcoming Samsung Unpacked, held in San Francisco, CA, at the Masonic Auditorium. Obviously, we love this choice because Ubergizmo is located minutes away from the event’s location. Still, it’s also a brilliant choice because the US East Coast is typically plagued with flight delays during the winter season – plus, it’s much warmer here in California.

Samsung didn’t say what the Unpacked event would be about, but given historical precedents, it’s hard to think of anything else than the Samsung Galaxy S23 series. We’ll know soon enough, but that’s 99.99% certain.

We’re particularly interested in the upcoming S23 camera (especially the S23 Ultra), and the Samsung 200 MP sensor will likely appear in one of the models. Let’s see how it scores on our CAMERA HW benchmark. So far, the S22 Ultra is one of the best camera systems on the market and certainly an extremely balanced one without tons of filtering gimmicks.

The event will start at 10 am PT; you can see it live on Samsung.com and other places such as YouTube.

Samsung has pre-order reservation incentives for the new devices (Samsung Reserve), with up to $100 credit for two devices and $50 for a single one. The company typically offers excellent rewards and value on its official website, including unique colors. We can’t wait to see what Samsung will unpack, so stay tuned and subscribe to our updates.
