HONOR has revealed a strategic partnership with renowned game developer Gameloft to enhance the gaming experience on the PORSCHE DESIGN HONOR Magic V2 RSR, the new foldable smartphone. This collab introduces a modified version of the popular game Asphalt 9: Legends, specifically tailored for large foldable screens.

The highlight of this joint effort is the debut of 120 FPS gameplay at a higher resolution in the foldable category, promising an unparalleled gaming experience and pushing the boundaries of the foldable ecosystem through collaborative innovation.

Fei Fang, President of HONOR’s Product Line, emphasized the brand’s commitment to evolving and maintaining competitiveness through collaboration, aiming to create an optimal foldable user experience; The partnership with Gameloft is seen as a step towards achieving this goal by advancing hardware and software integration for foldable devices.

Henry Pan, Vice President of Global Business Development OEM at Gameloft, noted that previous thin and light designs for foldable smartphones often sacrificed technological performance and graphic capacity, creating a gap in the market for more advanced gaming experiences.

HONOR and Gameloft employed innovative technologies, including shader replacement, GPU-based edge reconstruction, and AI integration, to reimagine Asphalt 9: Legends for large foldable screens.

The optimized game will be launched on Google Play for the HONOR Magic V2 (check out our review here) and the PORSCHE DESIGN HONOR Magic V2 RSR in February 2024, promising an upgraded gaming experience for users of the HONOR Magic V2 Series.
