Announced at the beginning of the year right before MWC 2026, the interesting HONOR Robot Phone has officially debuted commercially in China, pleasing the tech-savvy fans that got interested in its main feature, the gimbal camera. As a premium device, it was engineered to redefine mobile photography through advanced hardware and robotics integration.
The gimbal mechanism is made of titanium, and so far, it is recognized as the smallest of its kind in the mobile industry.
Measuring merely 6 mm in thickness and weighing just 2 grams, this 3-axis (4D) mechanical setup provides cinematic image stabilization, real-time AI object tracking, and voice-activated framing adjustments.
Beyond its camera capabilities, the motorized system allows the device to function as an interactive robot companion capable of expressing more than 100 facial emotions via the integrated YOYO virtual assistant.
The imaging module was co-developed in partnership with German cinematography brand ARRI, introducing dedicated cinema modes, Log-C3 recording, and custom ARRI Look LUTs driven by the AIMAGE 2.0 algorithm. On the front, the handset features a compact 6.31-inch LTPO OLED display with 1.5K resolution (2640 x 1216 pixels), a smooth 120 Hz refresh rate, and an impressive peak brightness of 6,800 nits.
Performance is driven by the flagship Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor, supported by a dedicated Honor Yuguang H1 image co-processor, up to 16 GB RAM, and up to 1 TB internal storage. The device runs MagicOS 10 and is powered by a high-density 7,060 mAh silicon-carbon battery with 120 W wired fast charging and 50 W wireless charging.
