AOC has expanded its flagship gaming lineup with the announcement of the AGON 7 Pro AGP277KX. This 27-inch monitor is designed for high-end setups, catering to both enthusiasts seeking visual fidelity and competitive players requiring high refresh rates.
The standout feature of the AGP277KX is its dual-mode display capability, allowing users to toggle performance profiles based on their needs:
-
High-Resolution Mode: Offers 5K resolution (5120 × 2880) at a 180 Hz refresh rate. With 77% more pixels than standard 4K, this mode is optimized for AAA titles and professional productivity.
-
Competitive Mode: Shifts the output to 2K (2560 × 1440) while boosting the refresh rate to 350 Hz, prioritizing motion clarity and response times for eSports.
Panel Quality and Visuals
The monitor utilizes a Fast IPS panel with a 1 ms GTG response time. To ensure image consistency, AOC integrated STW wide-angle compensation technology and an LR low-reflection coating, which reduces surface glare to approximately 1.8%.
In terms of color accuracy, the AGON 7 Pro is factory-calibrated with a DeltaE < 1, covering 100% of the sRGB and 99% of the DCI-P3 color spaces. It features DisplayHDR 400 certification and a peak brightness of 500 nits in HDR mode. Sync technologies include NVIDIA G-SYNC Compatibility and Adaptive-Sync to eliminate screen tearing.
Connectivity and Ergonomics
The device is equipped with modern I/O, including DisplayPort 2.1, HDMI 2.1, and a USB-C port with 65W Power Delivery. It supports PiP/PbP (Picture-in-Picture/Picture-by-Picture) and includes a hardware-certified blue light filter. The ergonomic stand allows for full adjustments, including height, tilt, swivel, and pivot.
The AOC AGON 7 Pro is currently available for pre-order in China for 5,999 yuan (approx. $869). Global availability has yet to be confirmed.
