At MWC Barcelona 2026, nubia officially unveiled the Neo 5 series, a new lineup of smartphones specifically engineered for Gen Z and competitive mobile gamers. The series is headlined by the nubia Neo 5 GT, which distinguishes itself as the only device in its price segment to feature an integrated internal cooling fan.
Advanced Thermal and Performance Hardware

The Neo 5 GT addresses the common issue of thermal throttling through its “Cold-Core Trinity” system. This includes a 4nm MediaTek D7400 processor and an active cooling fan paired with a massive 29,508mm² dissipation area. This setup utilizes a specialized flow duct to guide air directly over the CPU and battery, maintaining stable frame rates during high-intensity gaming. The device is officially certified for 120 FPS gameplay on titles such as Garena Free Fire and MLBB.
Gaming-Centric Features and Display

Designed for console-level precision, the GT model incorporates 550Hz Neo Triggers 5.0 for four-finger control and a 3049Hz instant touch sampling rate. The visual experience is anchored by a 6.8-inch 1.5K AMOLED display featuring a 144 Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness of 4,500 nits. To support extended sessions, the phone carries a 6,210mAh battery with 80W fast charging and a “Bypass Charging” mode that powers the handset directly without heating the battery.
AI Integration and Design

The series introduces the AI Copilot Demi 2.0, an assistant within the AI Game Space 5.0 that provides real-time coaching, automated chat replies, and gameplay troubleshooting. Physically, the Neo 5 GT adopts a completely flat back design—eliminating the camera bump for a more stable grip—and includes customizable RGB lighting.
Pricing and Availability
The nubia Neo 5 series will debut in Southeast Asia this March before a broader global rollout. The Neo 5 GT will start at €399 (~$464), while the standard Neo 5 is priced from €299 (~$347).
