At MWC 2026, TCL’s RayNeo brand introduced two themed variants of its latest augmented reality (AR) glasses: the Air 4 Pro Limited Justice Edition (Batman) and the Chaos Edition (Joker). These models, priced at $319, offer a $20 premium over the standard $299 version for specialized aesthetics and accessories.
Design and Superhero Customization
The primary distinction of these limited editions is a lightweight, detachable lens shade. The Justice Edition features a shade styled after Batman’s mask, while the Chaos Edition mirrors the Joker’s motif. Both models include a Batman logo on the temple. These shades snap onto the front of the frame, allowing users to toggle between a standard look and the themed appearance without adding significant weight to the device.
While the exterior is stylized, the internal hardware remains identical to the standard Air 4 Pro. Key features include:
-
Display: A virtual 201-inch Micro-OLED screen with 1,200 nits peak brightness.
-
Color & HDR: The Air 4 Pro is the first in its line to support HDR10, boasting 10.7 billion colors—a significant increase from the 16.77 million found in the previous Air 3s Pro.
-
Performance: Supports refresh rates of 60 Hz and 120 Hz for smooth visuals.
-
Audio: Equipped with four speakers tuned by Bang & Olufsen, upgrading the dual-chamber system used in earlier models.
Connectivity and Functionality
The glasses function via screen mirroring, connecting to smartphones, laptops, or consoles through a USB-C cable. They are also compatible with the RayNeo Pocket TV ($129), a separate remote that integrates the Google TV interface directly into the glasses’ display. Testing indicates that the plug-and-play functionality is responsive, providing a high-contrast, large-scale viewing experience suitable for media consumption and portable gaming.
