At the 2026 Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, Xiaomi revealed a full-scale model of the Xiaomi Vision Gran Turismo, a virtual electric hypercar designed for the Gran Turismo video game franchise.
This project marks a significant milestone, as Xiaomi is the first technology firm invited by series creator Kazunori Yamauchi to join the elite group of 36 global automakers participating in the Vision GT program.
Aerodynamic Innovation

The vehicle’s design philosophy, titled “Sculpted by the Wind,” focuses on balancing low aerodynamic drag with high downforce. Rather than utilizing traditional spoilers, the concept features an Active Wake Control System, which uses a matrix of micro-perforations to manage airflow dynamically. Additional innovations include “Accretion Rims”—stationary magnetic wheel covers that reduce turbulence— and a teardrop-shaped cockpit. These features result in a drag coefficient of 0.29 and an aerodynamic efficiency rating of 4.1.
The “Sofa Racer” Interior
The interior departs from the rigid ergonomics typical of hypercars, adopting a “Sofa Racer” concept. This design uses a continuous loop architecture and 3D-knitted natural fabrics to provide a comfortable, cocoon-like environment. The cockpit is powered by Xiaomi HyperOS, featuring:
-
Xiaomi Pulse: A 360-degree intelligent assistant using light and sound.
-
HyperVision: A dynamic interface that adapts to telemetry or navigation needs.
-
Steer-by-wire: An infinite-shaped wheel that integrates digital and physical controls.
Ecosystem Integration
The hypercar is fully integrated into Xiaomi’s “Human x Car x Home” ecosystem. Leveraging the XiaoAi AI assistant and MiMo foundational models, the car acts as an intuitive companion that connects with the user’s personal devices. While currently a concept, Xiaomi intends for the vehicle to be playable in Gran Turismo 7, with specific release dates to be announced in the future.
