Telegram has launched a significant update for its Android and iOS applications, introducing a suite of features designed to enhance communication, productivity, and user security. This latest version builds upon previous refinements with the inclusion of an AI-powered text editor, advanced polling options, and improved media handling.
AI-Driven Text Customization
The standout feature of this update is a new text editor powered by the open-source Cocoon Network. This tool prioritizes privacy while allowing users to reformat messages with a single tap. By clicking the “Ai” shortcut in the chat box, users can access auto-correction, emoji suggestions, and style transformations. Available styles range from formal and corporate to more creative tones like Zen, Viking, or Biblical.
Advanced Polling and Bot Integration
Polling capabilities have been extensively upgraded to provide more context and control. Creators can now add descriptions, attach media or locations to options, and set specific voting time limits. New administrative controls allow for shuffling answer choices, enabling multiple correct answers in quizzes, and hiding results until a poll concludes. Furthermore, a dedicated button now tracks active polls within groups and channels.

In a move toward greater automation, Telegram’s new API allows bots to manage other bots. This infrastructure enables users to build their own AI-driven bots without requiring any programming knowledge, streamlining the creation of custom automated tools.
Security and Media Enhancements
To bolster platform security, Telegram has implemented a warning system on user profiles that utilize unofficial clients. This measure aims to inform users that third-party apps may lack verified end-to-end encryption or fail to respect media restrictions.
On the technical side, iOS users now have access to a built-in document scanner that automatically detects edges, removes backgrounds, and converts scans into PDF format. Additionally, the update adds official support for Live Photos (iOS) and Motion Photos (Android). These images can be sent as high-quality looping animations, with playback options including infinite loop, “bounce” mode, or single-play upon opening.
