Logitech unveiled Mobi Fold, its first foldable mouse, designed for people who work in airports, cafés, hotel lobbies, shared spaces, or anywhere a laptop trackpad starts to feel limiting.
Many professionals own a mouse, but they do not always carry one. During our briefing, the Logitech representative told us 72% of professionals who work in public places own a mouse, but only 26% use one on the go, mainly because traditional mice are too bulky or inconvenient to carry. Mobi Fold is Logitech’s answer to that friction point.
As a former designer, I cannot survive without a mouse, even when I am traveling. When on the go, I use a Logitech Anywhere 3s, a compact mouse that works on any surface, including glass. So I am pretty excited by the Mobi Fold, and I cannot wait to try it!
This 79-gram mouse folds down into a pocketable shape, then opens into a usable mouse form-factor at a fixed ergonomic angle. It does not open flat, and the angle is not adjustable, because Logitech designed it around a predefined comfort position. The company claims the design reduces muscle strain by 22% compared with using a laptop trackpad. “Mobi Fold does not fold flat. We took the approach of folding it in half, and it unfolds to a predefined angle that we did a lot of user studies and research on,” said Jonathan Wong, Head of Product and Innovation, Mobile and Audio Solutions
Mobi Fold automatically powers on when opened and turns off when folded,t o help preserve battery life. It also includes an on-device AI model designed to prevent accidental clicks when the user folds the mouse.
For daily work, Mobi Fold includes Adaptive Touch Scrolling, which can move line by line or quickly through long documents and spreadsheets. Two customizable touch-panel buttons can be configured in the Logi Options+ app for shortcuts such as switching apps, taking screenshots, copy/paste, or other workflow actions.
It connects to up to three devices over Bluetooth and works across Windows, macOS, ChromeOS, Android, iPadOS, and Linux. Mobi Fold also supports Easy-Switch and is Logitech’s first Fast Pair-certified input device.
Battery life is rated at up to 30 days, while a one-minute USB-C charge provides up to 22 hours of use. It is also drop-tested, wrapped in a dust-resistant silicone sleeve, and rated for 15 years of daily folding.
Mobi Fold launches globally in Graphite, with Lilac and Off-White in select markets, starting at $79.99 . A Mobi Fold for Business version adds a Logi Bolt USB-C receiver, Sync support for IT management, and a two-year warranty for $89.99 (€84.99, and £79.90). In the U.S. only, Logitech’s Mobi Fold will be exclusively sold on Logitech.com and TikTok Shop from June 10-July 8th. In Canada, Mobi Fold will be available on Logitech.com and other retailers starting June 10th.
