XREAL has announced that global pre-orders for its upcoming augmented reality (AR) glasses, the XREAL Aura, have officially exceeded 10,000 units following their initial announcement in June. The milestone highlights strong consumer interest in the company’s latest spatial computing hardware.
To secure a reservation, buyers can place a fully refundable $99 deposit through the official XREAL website. In return, early adopters receive a $199 credit applied toward the final purchase price upon the product’s official release in Spring 2026.
While exact retail pricing has not been finalized, XREAL confirmed the Aura will retail for under $1,500 in the US market. This price point positions the device as a competitive alternative within the high-end AR segment, significantly undercutting enterprise-focused rivals such as Snap Spectacles, which retail for $2,195.
The XREAL Aura is engineered with dual Sony micro-OLED displays capable of a 120 Hz refresh rate and Full HD resolution per eye. The optical system delivers a 70-degree field of view (FOV) and features electrochromic dimming with five selectable transparency levels to adapt to varying lighting environments.
The glasses maintain a lightweight form factor of 95 grams. To minimize facial fatigue and heat buildup, computational processing and battery power are offloaded to an external companion module designed to be carried in a pocket.
Operating on Android XR, the Aura is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon Reality Elite platform, configured with up to 16 GB of RAM and up to 512 GB of internal storage.
The software ecosystem features native integration with Google services and the Gemini AI assistant. The platform provides customized spatial computing applications, including immersive versions of Google Maps and YouTube, alongside streaming support for popular media platforms such as Netflix.
