Nokia has been quick to roll out the Android 9 Pie update for many of its compatible devices. Having released Pie for the Nokia 8 a couple of weeks ago, the company today confirmed that the Nokia 8 Sirocco is now receiving the much-awaited Android 9 update. It has been a while since Android 9 Pie was released by Google and many OEMs are in the process of finalizing the update for their devices. ASUS has now revealed when one of the handsets in its ZenFone series will get the update. The ZenFone 5Z will receive its Android 9 Pie update in January next year.
Samsung confirmed at its developers’ conference last week that it will soon be launching the Android Pie beta program for the Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+. Owners of these handsets in select countries will finally be able to get a taste of Pie if they manage to snag a place in the beta program. Samsung is reportedly going to launch the program later today.
