Following the love that fans showed Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim and the series in general, it wasn’t surprising that many gamers were clamoring for more. Bethesda had played it coy at the start by saying that they wouldn’t have anything to announce, but yet earlier this year at E3, they confirmed that the Elder Scrolls VI was in the works.
Launched in 2014, The Elder Scrolls Online is an MMORPG based on The Elder Scrolls series. The game has made its way onto the PC, Xbox One, and the PS4, and so some are rightfully wondering if it could eventually find its way onto the Nintendo Switch as well. The bad news is that it won’t.
Bethesda’s The Elder Scrolls: Legends was released last year where the game is currently available across multiple platforms including Windows, macOS, iOS, and Android. However during E3 2018, Bethesda announced that the game would also be making its way onto modern day consoles where it was expected to launch on the PS4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch.
The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim was released back in 2011, but yet fast forward 7 years later, the game is still being talked about and still being released. Take for example how there was a port of the game that brought it onto the Nintendo Switch, and let’s not forget the “Special Edition” which basically introduced upgrade graphics to the game.
At E3 2018 earlier this month, Bethesda surprised everyone when they announced The Elder Scrolls VI. This is because over the years, Bethesda has attempted to play down the hype and expectations of the sequel because while the company has acknowledged that they will eventually get around to it, they want to focus on other games first.
Bethesda made a couple of surprise announcements at its E3 conference, one of which involved the confirmation that The Elder Scrolls VI is in development. Then the company also unveiled Skyrim: Very Special Edition, which for a moment looked like some kind of joke ad that featured actor Keegan Michael Key.
When Bethesda announced and launched Fallout Shelter a couple of years ago, it was a surprise as Bethesda had never really bothered to dabble in mobile games. However the game proved to be a huge hit and made quite a bit of money for the company, so it’s not really surprising that Bethesda is trying their hand at it again.
With the success of The Elder Scrolls V, many are curious as to what Bethesda could be bringing to the table next, which would naturally be The Elder Scrolls VI. However over the years Bethesda has attempted to playdown the expectations and anticipation of gamers, but at E3 2018, that has all changed.
A couple of years ago, the folks at Bethesda launched a digital card game of their own in the form of The Elder Scrolls: Legends. After two years of the game being announced, Bethesda finally released the game earlier this year where it was made available on the PC, but the good news is that it is also now available on mobile.
The Elder Scrolls: Legends closed beta has kicked off today. Those who are interested to take part in the beta can register for it today. Since it’s a closed beta, not everybody is going to be allowed in. Those who do get access will be able to start playing The Elder Scrolls: Legends closed beta today. More and more players will be gradually allowed in over the coming months.
While it is generally accepted that there is no such thing as a free lunch in this world, this does not mean that goodies cannot come one’s way from time to time. It looks like there is a huge push to recruit more players for Elder Scrolls Online, as Bethesda/Zenimax has announced a free-play weekend on both the PC and Xbox One platforms. There will be no similar gratuity granted […]
Magic: The Gathering is probably one of the most popular card games in real-life at the moment, and while it has a digital form, it’s hard to compete against Blizzard’s Hearthstone which has been gaining a lot of traction in the previous years. However it looks like Bethesda does not want Blizzard to hog all the glory (and revenue).During E3 2015, the company has unveiled their own Hearthstone competitor in […]
There was a little bit of panic when Elder Scrolls Online looked as though it was no longer available for sale over at EB Games. Just in case you were wondering what the big deal is, EB Games happens to be Australia’s best-known video games retail chain, and hence, when a particular title is no longer on sale, perhaps it would be prudent to sit up and take notice. Apparently, […]
When it comes to the world of gaming, you can be sure that people tend to gravitate toward a particular genre due to their skillset and interest, and within that genre itself, there will be several franchises where you can “pledge your allegiance to”, so to speak, or rather, in simpler terms, be a fanboy/girl of that gaming franchise, defending it with all your worth online while even dreaming about […]
