Apple is due to unveil two new iPhones this year, the iPhone 8 and the iPhone 7s. While there have been a significant amount of iPhone 8 leaks, the iPhone 7s has more or less been flying under the radar. It’s actually refreshing to see an iPhone 7s leak for a change. An image has surfaced online showing off the purported logic boards for this new device.
This year Apple is expected to launch a several new iPhones. It is expected that we will see refreshes of last year’s models in the form of the iPhone 7s and 7s Plus, as well as a new iPhone 8 model that will come with all the bells and whistles. So far the focus has been on the iPhone 8, but some details about the iPhone 7s have since surfaced.
If Apple were to keep to their schedule of announcing their new iPhones in September and making them available a couple of weeks later, it means that production of the devices should have already begun, which is what a report from DigiTimes seems to suggest as they claim that production on the new iPhones has already begun ramping up.
The other day YouTuber Marques Brownlee posted a video that showed off the dummy unit of the iPhone 8. However there are more iPhones that Apple is expected to unveil, like the iPhone 7s and 7s Plus, which has now been shown off in a video uploaded onto YouTube by Danny Winget.
The famous Apple analyst at KGI Securities, Ming-Chi Kuo, claims that Apple is going to start mass production of the iPhone 8 by mid-September. He also suggests that rumors about the iPhone 8 release day are unfounded and that the handset will be released on the very same day as the iPhone 7s and iPhone 7s Plus. The analyst does mention that iPhone 8 quantities and styles will be limited […]
It is expected that later next month Apple will finally be taking the wraps off the iPhone 8. However let’s not forget that Apple will also have other iPhones, such as the (presumably named) iPhone 7s and 7s Plus, which admittedly we haven’t been hearing so much about compared to the iPhone 8.
An interesting rumor we heard last week suggested that Apple could be bundling a 10W USB-C wall charger with the iPhone 8. This seemed to corroborate the rumors that the new iPhone could support faster charging, but now thanks to a new report from KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, that will not be the case.
For the past few months now we’ve been hearing all kinds of rumors and reports about the iPhone 8. At that time the rumor mill appeared to be in consensus that Apple was going to release this iPhone later on in 2017. Over the past few weeks, we’ve started seeing reports that question whether or not the iPhone 8 will be out this year. Various reasons are being provided, including […]
Apple is not due to unveil new iPhones until the fall this year but that doesn’t mean that the wheels aren’t already in motion to get everything ready in time for mass production. A new report claims that Apple’s primary chip partner, Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Co. or TSMC, is going to start volume production of the A11 processor in next month. This chip is going to debut with the iPhone […]
There are all sorts of rumors floating around about the iPhone lineup that Apple is going to offer next year and the latest suggests that the iPhone 7s release is going to take place next year. It’s claimed that the iPhone 7s is going to feature a 5 inch display and that it’s going to share internal components with the “s” variants of the 4.7 inch and 5.5 inch iPhones […]
If you are a collector of rumors when it comes to the likes of the iPhone 7 as well as the iPhone 7s, then you might be interested to check out some diagrams of the alleged handsets from Cupertino that are set to arrive with perhaps a glass covered body. In the leaked or revealed schematics, it does show that the new flagship smartphones will be a wee bit thicker […]
According to the rumors and the leaks, this year’s iPhone is starting to sound like a refreshed version of last year’s iPhone with some minor design changes. There are talks about a dual camera setup with more RAM, but for the most part the exterior of the phone will look like the iPhone 6s/6s Plus.
Based on what Apple has been doing over the past few years, this year we can almost definitely look forward to the iPhone 7. Assuming nothing changes, come 2017 we will most likely see the launch of the iPhone 7s, and in 2018 we will see the iPhone 8, and so on and so forth until Apple or the public gets tired of it.
There have been talks that Apple could switch to OLED panels for this year’s iPhone, but there are recent reports to indicate that chances are it will most likely be 2017’s iPhone 7s that will sport the technology. According to a report by The Wall Street Journal China, Apple has apparently placed an order for 100 million AMOLED panels from Samsung.
