YouTube, Facebook And Twitter Traffic Redirected To China?

Something strange was going on with the Internet night last, and it seems that traffic to several popular sites such as YouTube, Twitter and Facebook were redirected to servers in China, which effectively put people behind the famous Great Firewall of China, giving users a taste of what Internet users in China see when they try to access those blocked sites. Apparently the issue could be related to the Domain Name System (DNS), though the issue seems to have been fixed. Of course, the question on everybody’s lips is whether this is related to Google’s recent spat with the Chinese government, or is it just a badly-timed accident? Did you notice anything weird happening with your Internet recently?
