The Poseidon 37 floating power plant is one tough cookie, touting to boast the durability of an oil rig as well as having the efficiency to generate up to 50 gigawatts of hydro and wind power annually. A prototype of the Poseidon 37 is currently being constructed by Danish company Floating Power Plant, where the final product will measure some good 230 meters long and tip the scales at 30,000 tons, which ought to be massive enough to handle the tempestous waters on the seven seas. It seems that the commercial version will come with either three 1.5-2 megawatt turbines or one 5 megawatt turbine.
