Nokia offers NFC on all smartphones from next year onwards

Nokia has announced that they will be offering the Near Field Communication (NFC) feature in all of their smartphones from next year onwards, where it will likely support SWP (Single Wire Protocol) that enables NFC capabilities to be used via SIM cards. Apart from that, Nokia will also roll out a set of tools for third party developers for them to integrate NFC-related features into their applications. For those who still have no idea what NFC is all about, it enables Nokia smartphone owners to make ticketing transactions and payments, while sharing content with other NFC-enabled devices if the need arises. We don’t forsee the compulsory inclusion of NFC in next year’s smartphones to raise the final price point significantly.
