Viewsonic rolls out new Android-powered tablet

Viewsonic isn’t just about monitors you know, as the company has outlined plans to deliver a tablet device which will run on the Android operating system. Needless to say, Viewsonic intends to remain at the cutting edge of things, running Android 2.2 (aka FroYo) on this 7″ device which will also include a built-in camera, 3G connectivity and voice call support. We’re not too sure whether this will catch on as your primary communications device, since it is more or less an enormous smartphone. It will probably retail for somewhere between $477 and $637 in Europe, with no word on whether it will arrive Stateside or not. Guess we will just have to look out for it on the FCC in due time if that happens.
