I don’t know about you, but when I was a couple of decades younger, the BMW name was something exclusive, and not many people drove one of these. Fast forward twenty years and you find the BMW is extremely common on the roads, but it is a good thing that Leica’s latest collaboration with the German automobile manufacturer sees an extremely limited quantity – we’re talking about just 600 of the Leica BMW X1 limited edition cameras hanging around worldwide, so you can be sure that in a population of 6 billion plus, you will be among the priviledged few to own one of these puppies. Features include an Emarit 24mm f2.8 ASPH lens and a CMOS image sensor, accompanied by a compact retro metal casing. Being so limited in number, you can be sure that this puppy is not going to come cheap at all.
