The Pokémon Company and Polaroid have officially partnered to announce a special collection of instant cameras, custom film, and accessories commemorating the 30th anniversary of the globally recognized entertainment franchise.

The Polaroid X Pokémon collaboration features three distinct camera designs based on existing hardware. Two iterations utilize the Polaroid Go Generation 3, recognized as the brand’s most compact analog instant camera. One version showcases a bright yellow aesthetic inspired by Pikachu, featuring a specialized wrist strap shaped like a lightning bolt.

The second Go model presents a pastel pink and blue palette themed after the Fairy-type Pokémon Sylveon. Both Go Generation 3 units carry a retail price of $99.99 in the North American market.

The third device in the lineup is the larger Polaroid Now Generation 3 – Poké Ball Edition. This model incorporates the iconic red-and-white color scheme of the standard Poké Ball. Priced at $139.99, the camera utilizes standard i-Type film to deliver larger physical prints within minutes of capture.

None of the devices introduce new internal hardware specifications; instead, the release functions as a cosmetic redesign tailored specifically for collectors, photography enthusiasts, and pop culture fans.

Beyond cameras, the product line introduces themed instant film packs. The Polaroid Go Color Film includes decorative border frames featuring Pikachu and Sylveon artwork, while the larger Polaroid Color i-Type Film includes collectible character silhouettes. Additionally, the disposable darkslides—the protective shield cards automatically ejected upon loading new film cartridges—feature custom graphic designs, turning functional packaging into collectible memorabilia.

To complete the release, Polaroid will offer coordinated accessories, including a protective carrying case, an adjustable shoulder strap, and a photo album styled with Poké Ball motifs.

Pre-orders open on August 25 across the United States, Canada, and the United Kingdom via the official Polaroid and Pokémon Center online stores. The broader international release is scheduled for October 5, with regional pricing and availability for other markets to be confirmed.
