While we do know that Nintendo intends to shift 4 million of their 3DS portable consoles by the end of March this year, the gaming giant did remain cautious due to their recent issuing of a safety statement that claims viewing 3D images without wearing any 3D glasses apparently can cause an adverse effect on children with developing eyesight – that means those aged 6 and under. At least the company is being honest and upfront about it, instead of hoping to make a quick buck at the expense of little children around the world. Nintendo also recommended “standard hourly breaks,” claiming that the 3DS could “cause symptoms such as fatigue or discomfort.” Either way, it has stopped short of touting it to be “dangerous”, so we don’t think the 4 million sales target is in jeopardy anytime soon.
