Apple number one mobile PC vendor

It looks like Apple has managed to climb to the coveted top spot of being the number one mobile PC vendor in the world. According to the results of mobile PC shares from DisplaySearc, market analysts, Apple has surpassed HP last quarter, knocking the kings of mobile PC vending off the throne. Apple shipped 17.2% of Mobile PCs, while HP only managed 15.6% in the Q4 2010. Looks like HP has got to make some moves or release some highly desirable products if they want to reclaim the top spot. With Apple putting out the hot selling iPad (with a successor rumored to come soon) and new MacBooks each quarter, they don’t look like they’re running out of momentum anytime soon. Maybe HP’s webOS PCs and TouchPad tablets might make a difference this year. Acer, Dell and Toshiba make up the remaining runner ups respectively in that order.
