Metaio Augmented Reality app

Metaio has just released some video footage of a new Augmented Reality app that can help users with everyday activities – such as opening a box or replacing a spare part. The technology that they will be demonstrating at the Mobile World Congress next week looks pretty amazing. Imagine a world where you can find out how to work any machine just by pointing your phone at it and letting the app analyze what it is? Well, Metaio is headed in that direction. The app they demonstrated in a video showed the user how to change the toner cartridge of a printer – it specifically points out where the toner tray is and which direction to open it, and how to remove the cartridge within.
