We’re slowly inching closer towards the Motorola XOOM tablet’s launch and now a device labeled as the IHDP56LU1 has paid a visit to the FCC, described by Motorola as a “Hand Held Device”. The device seems to be a large tablet-shaped device with a non-removable battery. While it wasn’t explicitly described as the XOOM, speculation is rife that it’ll be the tablet that is expected to be launched on the 24th. There are some folks who believe this might instead be the Droid Bionic, but considering that it doesn’t feature a removable battery, there is a higher probability that it’s the XOOM tablet, especially since the demo units of the XOOM at CES didn’t have a removable battery.
