Verizon iPhone 4 subjected to a teardown

iPhone 4 teardown

The folks at iFixit have done it again. This time they’ve managed to take apart the Verizon iPhone 4 for our viewing pleasure, and it turns out that nothing much was changed from the original GSM iPhone 4 to this CDMA variant. The major differences between the two iPhones are the integration of the GPS with the main Broadcom chip and a slight modification of the antenna design (which didn’t really make a difference). Anyhow, this saves us the trouble of having to disassemble the iPhone ourselves just to see what makes it tick. If you’re interested in checking out what the innards of everyone’s favorite Apple phone is, just head over to iFixit for the complete teardown.
